Another fabulous project with Knowlman McDonald Architects and Builders. This garden was the overall winner Residential Construction of the Year , in the 2017 Landscape Queensland Awards The owner wanted a garden that would conjure fairies for her small grandchildren, be a picking garden for her house, and also provide much needed screening from the road. There was a fair slope to contend with and water to divert away from the house. I created usable terraces with my favourite dry stack stone walls, which become ‘one’ with the landscape over time. They never need maintenance, and can be built into sweeping curves, and covered in any number of trailing plants.
