This fabulous project was part of the Hidden Festival 2016 – a day to explore private gardens designed by AILDM members. The property has a BCC stormwater gully running across the back. We created a functioning creek bed that slows and filters the often-large volumes of water that flows across the site. The neighbours were so impressed they got my landscaping team to repeat the exercise in their place. Hardwood stairs and landings leading down the steep bank to the ‘creek’ look suitably rustic, with recycled wharf rope as a handrail.
