This 10m wide block has the usual challenge of long narrow gardens – how to add privacy without feeling hemmed in. The owner is a keen gardener and wanted varied planting and flowers to pick for the house. Being another fabulous project with Knowlman McDonald Builders and Architects, I was able to get involved with the design to incorporate windows up high to bring in neighbouring foliage and ground level glass allowing greenery to appear to be part of the décor. An olive tree in a raised bed is the focal point at the end of a long, paved path.
